Hobbywing 1060 esc HELP
scimitarjohn:
Hobbbywing 1060 esc, help needed in setting up. Sounds daft and should be really simple I know but can only get motor to run in one direction whatever I do, has anyone experience of these?
Taranis:
I think the default setting is forwards only
You will need to consult the instructions to alter the setting options.
Having read the instructions you may need to double tap reverse to get it to go backwards

Many thanks, have tried that but instructions are a bit cryptic, hoping to find someone who has successfully set this esc up.

Taranis:
I’ve used several of the brushless version without problem. Just read the instructions repeatedly until it makes sense
JimG:
To set it to forward/reverse is quite simple. Remove the jumber plug from the connectors furthest away from the edge of the esc. These are labelled mode, this position doesn't give the brake so you can go straight from forward to reverse. Make sure the other jumper is correctly set to the battery type you are using, NiMh or LiPo.
