I’ve got a few of Fichtenfoo’s wonderful creations before he went purely to 3D print files. His dragonfly racer is a stunning bit of steampunk fantasy looking like a cross between a dragonfly and a Bentley blower racer from the 1930s.
Look forward to seeing your build.

I had the implausible long nosed submersible kit, but along with a load of other stuff got lost across a couple of house moves
I also have Sasha The welding Girl and the deckhands figures

Really love the quality of his work..  The files are a bit pricy, but really like the look of this one

Another try at pics

1.  Are you going to make this a working model sub?

2. the resemblance to the baddies sub in stingray are uncanny  :}

yes, it does abit.

And no, this will be a static model.... Well for now anyway
Would love to make this a working model But I do think given the shape it may be difficult to make it stable

All parts printed, washed and cured.
Total cost for the kit so far
STL Files 22.00
Resin approx 400g@£30.00/Kg £12.00
Print time approximately 24 hours

Plus the bonus, if I mess a bit up I can just reprint it

That looks very impressive (not quite so cheap when you add in the cost of the printer)
I'm interested in how this builds up.
How strong are the plastic bits compared to a standard styrene model.

true, the printer was about £450, but I've recouped the cost of the printer running off a few paying jobs for friends.
I'm always happy to run off a few bits if people want them for the cost of resin and posatge

The resin I use is a little softer than a regular styrene kit once fully cured, but not enough to worry about.
Finally got my spraybooth setup so can make start on priming.

OK so I have had a couple of people asking If I can print these off for them.
I bought the files as personal use only and therefore am not allowed to sell copies.  However I am happy to print on your behalf if you buy your own copy of the files and provide a screenshot of the receipt.
I am NOT running a business and as such will only be charging for materials and postage. I am only doing this as I am well aware that the hull on this is too big to print on a majority of hobby resin printers.

Industria Mechanika do some great niche stuff, I highly reccomend them and we should be supporting the little guys

Tesco Tonic water bottle, the shouldered part has almost the right curve
The kit comes with the glass as a file, so it could be 3d printed in a transaprent filamanent/ resin
I printed the file and and used that as a template.  Placed the plastic from the bottle over the template and warmed with a hairdryer, needs a wee bit of trimming to fit but the curve is now spot on
