 I have a spare rc tank board, an Elmod fusion pro . Its rated for 10A and short burst 30A, what size of boat and motors would be suitable. Reason for using, has lighting circuits, 3 servos and you can load custom sounds .

What about a twin prop Landing Barge with 380 brush motors ??
Drop down ramp for a tank etc.


The 380 motor drawn about 3Amps at 1400rpm on load.


Barge size 700mm long by 200mm with two 12 volt Gel cell batteries or 3S Lipo battery.

HI canabus   Thats a good idea but i only do German WW2 tanks   they are bigger than the Shermans. Found this might be a little project as it could carry 140 tons. Would be able to carry 2 tigers or Panthers.

HI Ronnie please see tech sheet for the 380 motor this is a high revving motor. You will have the fastest landing craft model on the pond.

Power rating 3 volts to 7.2  no load speed 26.990 rpm  load speed 22. 356 rpm stall current at 7.2 volts 11.2 amps. These figures are for 380  see chart below [/size]

Hi Ronnie the motor prop combination used in model boats will determine what speed controller you can use. Stall current on each motor must be taken into account. I have posted a further screen shot of the 385 motor these are used by many model builders.

HI Ronnie I enjoyed our chat this evening. It would appear from our conversation that the landing craft you propose to build will need better motors than the 380 or 385 types. Geared motors could be the solution low revving but more torque especially for 50mm props. Lead acid batteries would be fine and also provide ballast. We both agreed a visit to your local club would pay dividends I hope all goes well with you project.
