RC Truck and Construction?
« on: March 02, 2022, 10:07:58 pm »

Anybody know why the RC Truck and Construction website went silent?

Or maybe they just don't like ME anymore?

kinmel:

That's kind of what I figured.  That's too bad, there was a lot of good stuff on that site.  Wish I knew how to get in touch with one of the administrators to find out if it will come back or not.  To quote Joseph Heller, "That's some catch that Catch 22."

May be it wasn't being supported enough and the costs for running it were deemed too high by the moderator? I know Martin here does a fabulous job, and carries a good deal of the cost himself. I haven't been on for a while (having joined to see what gives in this branch of the hobbies tree) and I agree, there was a lot of interesting content, and as usual, loads of priceless experience and ideas.

I hope the forum can resurface :)

kinmel - I don't think it's their Facebook, but it certainly is similar.

ballastanksian - That's a definite possibility, but I don't ever remember seeing any requests for help.  But then again I didn't look at ALL of the forums - I could have just missed it.

I don't think any help was asked for, RC'ers are a fairly generous lot that usually have a few extra bucks/bob/rubles/yen... (You get the idea) laying around that we'd be willing to share.  Just look at our hobby/hobbies - not exactly cheap.
