Scarborough Shannon
« on: March 08, 2022, 07:35:44 pm »

Hi all

Probably a long shot but does anyone have any close up shots/detail of the Shannon lifeboat Frederick William Plaxton?  I am at the point where I have exhausted online pics and need to see the finer detail for the next stage of works, I don’t think I can travel up there until later in the year so any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Scarborough mix

Also look through the media gallery on the Facebook Shannon builders group or ask for specific pictures and crew may oblige, especially John Huntley

I have a few general ones taken of the boat and tractor in the lifeboat station in 2017. Nothing special as taken for interest not specific detail.  They are rather large for putting on here, send me a pm with your email address and I will forward them to you.

You can take a 3d virtual tour of Scarborough's actual Shannon, it allows you to see very part of the boat.  There is a dropdown menu on the left of the screen to move quickly between areas....
