Hello everyone
Hi everyone
Just a line to introduce myself.
I am new to model boating, I passed comment at our church men's group during one of the pandemic relaxings of restrictions that I was considering building one. As a result I was given a part constructed Stirling kit of a Chris Craft 50' Flying Bridge Catalina. I have had to undo some of the previous owner's work but the hull was well constructed and I have only glassed and painted it. The deck and cabin has been mostly reworked and is now painted. I am now adding the deck fittings. Next will be sea trials in the bath. Hopefully without sinking before adding the RC gear.
I have an ESC with a switch for Nimh or Lipo batteries. I do have both Nicad and Lion batteries, is there any reason I shouldn't use either with it? Maybe that should be a question for a separate thread.
Anyway I am on Wirral peninsula near Birkenhead and with Liverpool just across the Mersey. I am a member of the Liverpool Nautical Research Society. I also model railways.
Cheers Colin
