L-shaped steel blocks
« on: March 27, 2022, 04:10:55 pm »

I have been reading Banjoman’s build blog of Mountfleet’s Highlander, in another place. He uses engineers’ L-shaped blocks for ensuring that assemblies are glued square. I have searched the internet but can’t find them. It doesn’t help that I don’t know what they’re called. Once again I ask for the community’s help.

Thank you all, Martin’s suggestion is closest to what I was looking for. Have ordered and look forward to a modelling life on the square.

Lego bricks also make great angle blocks ... of any size, any shape you want!

SLA batteries are hand for the job and are heavy enough not to move.

I am, once again, blown away by the simple, down to earth approach of MBM members. I overthink too much and appreciate the grounding found here. I like the solid 1-2-3 blocks though, nearly as much as Lego. I’ll raid the grandweans’ toy box…

Something steel and a magnet works well as a clamp

or some of this selection - just make sure that they are a true right angle:

Lots of different sized of both.
