Mountfleet / Model Slipway kits
« on: March 31, 2022, 06:48:09 pm »

Hi One and All
As Mountfleet have taken on some of Model Slipways moulds, I asked if they had taken on the Tsekoa 2 as the transfers that came with my kit have dried out, yes it has taken me that long to make the model, the reply was that they are sorry but it was not one of the moulds that they have taken on.

This is a great loss if no one has taken on this mould, as I feel that this is a great boat to build and sail.

That's all right, Mr Ryan. My Morse is so rusty, I could be sending him dimensions on Playmate of the Month.

I understood from Lawrie White that Mountfleet had bought everything from him except some original prototype models. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that they will want to bring all of them back on sale.

We purchased all the kits which Lawrie was able to sell us.
Tsekoa was one we could not buy from his range.

Hi One & All

I am glad that at least some of the old Model Slipways kit have been saved by Mountfleet, and thank you to them for explaining why they are unable to help with regards to the transfers.

Fred....
Would it not be possible for you to scan the decals on to your pc and print them off onto decal / water slide paper ?

Cheers David.

Hi Mogurnda

Have been thinking of doing this, so I sent off for the paper some time back now all I need to do now is find the old transfers and see if I can get them to scan O.K then I just need to pluck up the courage to do it.

Do you mean you bought ready to sell kits he had in stock or the tools and patterns to take over production and produce them yourself?

Very many of the Slipway models will never return due to joint/shared copyrights. The few that Mountfleet obtained will be complete productions eventually
