On Sunday 8th May we will be holding our first steam open day since 2019.  Steam testing will be available on the day for club members, as it is a requirement that all persons presenting models for steam testing will be a full member of the Kirklees Model Boat Club.  The fee to become a full member will be £18.  This is a requirement to comply with the new regulations.  Albeit the day is for steam all types of models (except IC and high performance fast electrics) are welcome to sail and display.  There will also be some military vehicles on display.  Free car parking, refreshments.  Any more information send a P/M via Mayhem or go via the Kirklees Model Boat Club website]

Our first open day since 2019 is fast approaching with the lack of commercial shows this year I think club events will be popular. Although  the day is primarily for steam powered models any one wishing to visit with a non steam model will be welcome. Also on the day  our members will be displaying various model tanks. Hopefully Mount fleet models will be on site so if you have questions about Model Slipway come along and have chat with them.
