Hello
« on: April 09, 2022, 05:19:05 am »

Hi all, I have just joined the forum, and thanks for allowing me in, and would like to say hello to you all.
I have recently been building plastic scale kits, and have become interested in scratch building a vessel of some type, after watching Frogman3's build of the Tiger, although I don't think I'm going to be that ambitious just yet  ok2
Previously I have flown RC planes, gliders and even a helicopter, although those were many years ago. I still have a Futaba transmitter and accessories in hand, and am hoping that they may be suitable to install in a vessel.
What to build is my first conundrum though, I think some time spent going through the builds in the forum may just help me in deciding.
I look forward to getting to know you.

Hi Garry

Welcome to the forum and from Tasmania.

May be a cabin cruiser about the 700/750mm length would be a good start to get back in RC.

If your radio system works OK, just use that.

If you have a print shop near by , I have a few PDF plans I can send you.

Just add a PM to me with your email address.

Welcome Garry

Bear in mind that you probably won't be able to use your existing transmitter for boats, depending on its frequency.

Hi Garry,New Zealand, sigh...  traveled there 23yrs ago, left on easter monday.  Fantastic country, land(scape) and people!!! (and animals of course)

Anyways, I don't know what kind you're after but if you're looking after something not to large (ok depends on the scale) what about one of the NZ coast guard boats? Seems they have updated their fleet since I last looked after the boats.

Have fun here, regards from Hamburg (ger), Joerg

Hi Joerg
At the moment I am still looking at options, which will come with time.
