Hi, I have been given the wreck of a 1940/50's Scottish seiner as a realistic tug tow. It's 33" long and has been sanded to reveal not only a superb looking wrecked hull but some small holes causing water ingress in tight corners/compartments.
Ideas please for a liquid seal that can be poured and sloshed around to seal it. I really want to leave the outer hull appearance as it is now but need to seal it. Added wight would not be a problem as it will need realistic ballasting.
Thanks again,
om

If you put some plastic tape on the outside you could pour liquid resin into the suspected areas and use an expendable paintbrush to smear it around and once set this should seal the holes and the tape should pull or sand off okay.

Some of the very thin fibreless tissues actually go completely transparent with application of the resin so you could fibreglass the exterior of the hall but retain the wood grain.

Cheers

Do a search on here for "Captain Tolley". It appears to work for them what've tried it! :-))

Thanks guys.
Tony, a few too many obscure ones for the captain.
Geoff, that's the plan, should cover all bases.
