BEC speed controller in Engel submarine
« on: May 18, 2022, 01:52:58 pm »

Hi out there. I have a problem. My Engel submarine as the old 6v TME board. Today the speed controller went down and I need to find a replacement unit. I have contacted engel who told me I can’t use a BEC controller and must use a receiver battery pack. This is for the Engel first issue nautilus. I cannot see the motor rating as it’s buried under the dive tank. One other thing which I would like help with. The wiring diagram I have shows that the speed controller takes power direct from the battery and that there is a link on the power input side too the TME board and then too the speed controller. I have a magnetic switch which turns on the TME board. But the way the wiring for the speed controller is shown will this run the battery down.
