Identifying old pond yacht hull
« on: June 05, 2022, 01:57:52 pm »

Hi Can anyone help me identify this old pond yacht hull I recently purchased at a Sydney, Australia auction? It is 870mm (35inches) long, 160mm beam (6 inches) and a planked construction fastened by rows of screws. The deck has printed planking and brass/copper fittings.
I intend to restore it but need some help as to what it is and how it should be rigged.

Thank you

Ross

It looks very similar to a yacht my father built for me in the fifties. It was Bermuda rigged with a self steering gear controlled by an elastic band; the tension of which was controlled by an adjustable bar.
