As the set comes I think you can only use one set of Bluetooth headphones at the same time, however there does seem to be a device that will allow 2 to be used but at extra cost of course.

I quite agree Gordon, technology today is driven by 30 year olds who have no understanding whatsoever of the needs of the older generations who don't have their technical knowledege and may be handicapped phisically in various ways.

The only consolation is that life might catch up with them rather more quickly than they expect.

Unfortunately if there was no progress then where would we be, no internet , No model boat Mayhem Forum !!

I can understand that some may feel progress is a pain but there is normally away around it, if your TV has a Scart socket or HDML sockets then there are adaptors you can get quite cheaply to adapt them to headphones etc, as I posted above you can buy an adaptor which looks like it can enable two sets of Blue tooth speakers

We have recently purchased a smart TV , it has Blue tooth, HDML, USB , Scart and phono sockets so I do not understand unless I am missing something that when you selected your new TV then why did you not specify it needed to do certain things.

What is the make and model Number of the TV ?. :-))

At Gordon's age he just wants a new TV without all the technological complications and I have every sympathy with him.

Looks like your TV has Bluetooth V5.0

According to the internet ...

Does Bluetooth 5 support multiple devices?

Perhaps the biggest improvement that Bluetooth 5.0 will make on your life is that it will enable two devices to be paired to another device at the same time. For instance, two people with different wireless headphones can pair to the same device.

To enable bluetooth on your LG TV go to Settings > Sound > Sound Out > Bluetooth and then select your device. Just make sure the device you're trying to connect is in pairing mode.

From what I can see the the TV does have Phono Sockets so a wired headphone is possible, or is it that you just want it as BlueTooth. ?.

I appear to have a TV that talks to my computer ?  I was desperately trying to get a verification code for a purchase on my PC . The site said they had sent it but I could not find it , the wife watching one of the soaps on the tele' in the lounge shouts :  WHATS THIS NONSENSE ON MY SCEEN ?  Yes , the verification code had overwritten the programme on the television screen in the other room. Bloody rubbish technology.

Gordon I checked with the shop and they say yes it has to be connected to a socket/s on the TV if you must use Bluetooth. Without knowing what Audio Out sockets you have difficult any chance of a pic of the  Back or the manual and consider going wired. Oh does it have  Usb socket?

If the shop have said that he needs to use a socket for 1 Bluetooth headphone set  then I suggest they are mistaken.
Unless I have misunderstood your post !.

You have to connect the  TX you gave the link for to the TV that then pairs with the headsets

When I use my BT headphones I simply turn them on, and then for tv out put simply select BT on the TV settings, tv searches for the head phones and connects. :-))
But will only connect to 1 BT device at a time so assume not version 5.

you are ok with one set even with V5 but you need a Tx adaptor connected then that can  transmit to 2 sets of phones. Whether that would still mute the  tv speakers I know not.

It depends on the TV. Sometimes using the headphone socket cuts out the speakers, sometimes not. I have a Bluetooth adapater which connects to the TV phono sockets.
