Graf Spee Motor suggestions

pdq:
Hi all, i am progressing a build of Fleetscale Graf Spee 1:128 at circa 1600mm length. I will be running on 2x 12v in parallel and ESC and power board from Action. I was thinking 2 x Macabbi 555 but wondered if this would be overpowered? would 2 x MFA 450s be better? Alternatively i could look at 2 x 6V which wold also work i think. All help appreciated!

Shipmate60:
555's should be fine on 12 volts depending on props of course.

Thanks Bob - would the same be true if i went for 2 x 6v - just looking at weight!

Shipmate60:
Specifications • Speed (without load): 5560 rpm • Speed / Torque: 3950 rpm / 380.3 g–cm • Stall torque: 1360 g–cm • Current draw (at 5000 rpm): 1.25 A • ...On 6 volts would give about 2500 rpm but limited torque.

2 x 6volt batteries in series might be a better option.

What ESC?

I have purchased a P103 parallel board into a P92 distbn brd the to a P94 ESC (all Action). Electronics is not my forte. I wired up my 1:72 scale HMS Active a couple of years ago now and still cannot get it to work! Thanks for the feedback Bob.
