Plastic D section
« on: July 14, 2022, 04:08:29 pm »

Hi.

I need some D section plastic 6mm width, in lengths of at least 1 metre.

Several shops have it, but not the length that I need, mostly around the 300mm length.

Model Shop Leeds have it but the shipping cost is £10.00, plus the cost of the plastic, making the total cost for 3 £17.00 which is too much for me.

Anyone know an alternative supplier ?

Mike.

That's all right, Mr Ryan. My Morse is so rusty, I could be sending him dimensions on Playmate of the Month.

You could buy 6mm round cord, and split it.
Not difficult once you get it going.  :-))
Be sure to drill the exit hole, past the leading edge of the blade, larger so
that the chord has room to split and expand.

Hi Mike, for the greater good perhaps you can post back what you found and where?  Postage on a c1m  long cylinder is not particularly cheap.
