Hey Y'all;Am hoping the transatlantic collective consciousness of the forum can help with battery box ideas for rubberband powered submarine.
I want to give it working lights from 'reassigned' Christmas light LED.
And ...
... although my brain has historically had lots of ideas for lots of things, it is drawing a blank on this in the here and now.
What it has produced so far is that the battery box will be accessed through a hatch in the upper hull.

Battery box/container will need to be narrow to fit between, or very flat to fit below, rubber motors of stick and tissue aircraft flavor.

Desire is to have an array of headlights in bow and the navigation lights.

A button battery like a 3volt cell (https://evandesigns.com/collections/wire-switch-more/products/3v-coin-cell-holder-with-switch)  and put it in a balloon or seal with silicon. Simple solution and very compact.

Ah! I use some Evan Designs products with my model trains and didn't even remember their name to go look at their products.

For this project, simple and low-tech is good tech.

Yep.
Remember, this thing merely has its overall shape inspired by the Typhoon class; beyond that it is very much fictional, freelanced, and fun-ized.
Some of the detailing will be inspired by 1910s and 1920s submarines.
