This week I received the Billing Boats Zwarte Zee (Black Sea) BB592 from Cornwall Model Boats. Really great service from CMB as per their usual standards. The 1:90 kit with fittings comes in at £285.



Included in the box:
- ABS hull
- ABS lifeboats x 3
- ABS funnel
- Laser cut decks and cabin structures
- Molded plastic details
- Propshaft setup, rudder and plastic props x 2
- Wood strips and dowls
- Brass details, stantions and metal wire
- Decals and canvas effect sheet
- Instructions
- Plan drawing

Dimensions:
- Length 90cm
- Width 15.5cm
- Height 37cm

Hi,

Thanks for adding to this part of the forum.

...I'm a quite impressed Billings give you the choice of left or right hand props in the box but at this price sadly no brass prop!  Out of interest, I tried seaching the instructions but it didn't come-up, is it a 3mm prop shaft or a more regular 4mm one in this kit please?

@RST - It’s a 4mm prop shaft included (length 170mm). To add, the outer 6mm tube with the brass collars fitted is 126mm.



For the props, one is actually for use as a deck detail.



On the original vessel there looks to be some type of mount for transportation.



The location is likely the only place left away from all of the towing and mooring gear. I’m wondering if it’d be a replacement for the ZZ herself.

I’ll be ordering a brass prop and maintenance free shaft to go in the model.
