book - Toy Boats 1870-1955
« on: August 09, 2022, 05:24:19 am »

I am a happy camper!  :} Friend Julie in UK bought me a US copy of this 'Toy Boats 1870 - 1955' book she saw in the Chaucer Bookshop.
Got a big laugh out of her last week when after she said about going to Canterbury I said if you are going to Canterbury I expect some tales. :D

Oh, and it is her photo.  Book due to arrive in about a week.

Oh dear, the title is going to annoy lots of people. {-)  Usually an incendiary reaction when I talk about toy aircraft/boats.  O0

No...no......no......
I have a workshop full of my TOYS.........the TOYS neither me or my parents could afford when I was a boy !!
I think nothing of what anyone else may say about my TOYS.
When you've retired from your working life it's time to enjoy all the TOYS (at last).
As for the cost of enjoying all the TOYS I never had as a child.......
............You can't take it with you, but you can have it all before you go.

Bingo!  :}
And that enjoyment can include building them, painting them, winding up the rubber band, letting them go, and seeing what happens.
