Stick Stop
« on: November 02, 2007, 01:36:23 pm »

Looking at my trusty Futaba Challenger 6 channel the other day I noticed, (after about 15years of ownership), that the up/down stick on the left did not go as far as the right one.
Back off and have a look. The left one had stops fitted which he right didn't so I unscrewed the them and now have same throw on each stick.
Today at the lake I found that full speed on the left stick now cuts out the motor, back just a bit and full speed's OK.
Anyone know why one side has the stops and the other hasn't. I've had the TX from new so it came like that from the factory.

Anyway back off again and I'll replace them.

Try moving the neutral on the speed ctr and then move the trim to get full speed.

I had a similar problem with my Spektrum radio. I was using Mtroniks Esc and all was ok until I altered the gain on the throttle control.

Could you say what Esc you are using. Maybe it will need re configuring as the esc would have seen full forward and reverse during set up procedure.

Alternatively, it could be that the pot track (on the back of the stick) doesnt go all the way to the end of the travel  now that you've extended the travel and you've reached a dead spot at full thottle.

It's an Mtroniks...15 amp viper marine....
I was thinking it was something to do with the tracks on/in the pot...reverse is OK, by the way.

Right simple one this your ESC needs to be reprogrammed. When you switch on press button on esc green light throttle to top red light throttle fully down then back to neutral and wait whilst it reconfigures and hey presto job done
