Heaton Model Boats - Straight Running

Yesterday was our final visit of the year to the South Shields model boat club for their "Invitation Day Regatta". Despite a slightly damp start we had a fantastic days sailing with a lorry load of laughs. The highlight was HMS Hood which on the trial run turned north heading for the Tyne Ferry, ramming an RC Yacht en-route. Then on the three scoring runs scored two bullseyes (10's) and a 9 to win the competition outright and a round of applause. With fairly calm weather  there were high scores and a close battle for the remaining places.
