Built one of these years ago.  Went well in a straight line but tended to drop off the foils in turns - I think the problem was that the power to weight ratio was a bit marginal with a 540 type motor and the low capacity nicads available at the time.  Maybe also a bit top heavy with that much weight in it.  Should go well with a brushless and lipos though.

Sory for the delay in getting back to you.  the hull is about 27" with an OAL of29" as there is a lot of rudder etc hanging off the back end.

I believe these were Gungze Sangyo kits and distributed in the UK by RIKO, who also distributed Tamiya kits back in the day.
