Contractors burning brush on a red flag day? Seriously?

Contractors burning brush on a red flag day?

Seriously?
Right across and just barely down the road from home.

Okay, so I called our county seat farm burg's Fire Department non-emergency number & they said that's outside city limits on County land, so call the 911 number because that is a County operation.

I did ...

And got Greene County's 911. (That's Springfield, a 3 hour drive from here).

Where ...

The guy said AT&T is having issues and the 911 system is all screwed up.

He gave me office number for Cooper County dispatch.

And ..

I give up, my voice is a mess today, my defective body is desperately trying to send me to the ER, and I don't have the energy to make more calls.

This hazardous weather outlook is for northwest...north central and
west central Missouri...as well as extreme eastern Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

High fire danger is expected today as dry conditions coupled with
wind gusts out of the northwest to 30 to 40 mph will lead to Red
Flag Warning conditions from noon until 7PM. Outdoor burning should
be avoided as anything that does ignite could burn quickly out of
 control.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Gusty west winds to 35 mph on Friday coupled with dry conditions
will again lead to an elevated fire weather danger.
