Prop shafts question

Hi Crew my new project in 1/24 scale is a PCS ww2 I have a slight problem that I need your help with , the drive shafts outside the hull are 6mm however the props are 4 blade 55 mm  M4 thread the shaft size  is 6mm so do I run a  6mm shaft with a 4 mm thread  for the props at the end , or do I run a 4 mm shaft inside a 6 mm outer sleeve just the outer outside the hull only , with the 4 mm shaft going to a coupler,  motors are going to be T12 from Mobile Model Marine which are a 6 mm drive  shaft low slow reving  trying to keep it prototypical any and all help much appreciated tassie48

Hi tassie, I personally would not run 55mm props on a m4 shaft unless it is slow running. I would
get the props re tapped if possible to m5 and the shaft re-threaded to m5

John many many thanks didn't even consider that will go with that idea the power and beauty of asking questions on model boat mayhem thank you tassie48
