Help for info - Shannon lifeboat model kit
« on: December 14, 2022, 05:08:38 pm »

GentsCould you me out, I’ve been asked by a modeller from Wales where he could get a Shannon lifeboat model kit or part kit. I know Speed line has closed down and Andy Griggs is also closed and not making any semi kit.I did see on a past posting on MBM that someone from the old Speedline was saling hulls on eBay but I can’t find that posting. Thanks for any help

Antony Bakewell is still producing the Speedline Shannon kits, but recently had a workshop fire.

The best source of uptodate information is the RNLI SHannon Modellers page on Facebook.    It is a private group, so you need to join it in order to view the pages.

This link then takes you directly to their very latest info on the Shannon kits....  https://www.facebook.com/groups/220509768718588/permalink/1327624678007086/

My friend Allan Mouritsen wants to sell his
You will have to contact him yourself

I would add that Allan is a very highly skilled modeller and all of the work he’s done so far will pass any inspection with a smile

I understand he will be expecting £1200 which is comparable with any other options
