Hi Gents,
I’m back, my knee I’ve been told will take 6 to 9 months of physio rehab to get back to full use, but can get back to working in the workshop know, but can’t drive for another 4 weeks.
So today I start on making HMS Belfast stand, this will keep the hull level and square, which will allow me to trim the sides down. The base still requires trim to size and a protect water proof coating.
I’ve also ordered a couple o meters of 12mm brass tube and 12mm bronze round bar so I’ll have all the material to make the prop shaft , “A” bearing and frames. As for the shafts I have stock of 4,5,&8 mm 316 SS rod.
Once I’ve confirmed the size I’ll use which SS rod is the best.
