Swordsman / Huntsman: from Old to New
« on: November 30, 2007, 12:55:07 am »

a few weeks ago i was given a rc boat, which i had to say looked abit sad for itself. As far as i know it was nitro powered as all the old exhuast and 20 year old home made fuel tank was still onboard.

the boat was bought for me as a present, and a break for me as i am currently building the Smitt Nederland tug from Billings.

well heres some pics:  O0 hope you like......

thats how i recieved the boat

new sides, needs paint

getting there

more paint and some lights

the finished article

all that is required to finish is the installation of my spektrum radio gear and electric torpedo 500 motor/speed controller

thanks for looking

i will also be posting on the progress and build of my smit nederland, which i have to say i'm new to boat building as i am more of a model aircraft and car man but fancied a change and slow down a little  ::)

Hi rob ....and welcome...........looks like it started life as a fairy swordsman / huntsman or similar . deep v hulls tend to try to lay over to one side when they start to plane there has been some discussion on here about it recently.   For a first attempt at boats it looks like a nice rebuild.
