Hi, nice looking jeep ... Im impressed by what you have done to the rear in making space and getting rid of that box, I simply painted mine and marked it with suitable markings but may well copy your modification if you don' t mind .. I have a mod to do to mine anyway as I'm not happy with how the driver and passenger sit in mine, way too high and all due to the space under the seats being there for the battery to sit.. please see my post on 1/6 jeep for details as I don't want to add pics to your topic ..

I have felt ease very much with Allen's posting stating that his eye line is nearly just the level with the upper frame of
the wind shield by his body size.  :-)) :-)) :-)) {-) {-) {-)
On the other hand, I normally enjoy the running of my jeep with the shield down as most Americans did in the WW2. %%
Nowadays,I don't care about that point so much by the above style of shield. :embarrassed:
Anyhow cruising with the jeep is enjoyable and good for my health at any rate even if some parts of body are not
precisely designed within a tolerable scope for me.
I am personally regarding this model as a working model rather than what I call a "scale model".
I have ever heard that a really precisely scaled down RC plane like a plastic model is so hard to fly....
Therefore, many RC scale planes are said to have accepted some deformations, more or less, for stable flights.
My jet style FA-18 Hornet is intensively deformated.... {-) O0 %%
Bunkerbarge seems to have made some sort of nice conclusions on these 1/6 jeeps. :-))

This could become a compromisable level of height of a driver figure for my working RC jeep.!! :-))
I could lower the seat by 3mm with which I am satisfied in a comromisable level. :-)) {-)

Pic1;3mm lower than right seat where is normal kit level.
2; His front view must have been largely widened neatly , cleanly..!! %%
3/4; Well then, be at quarters right away.!!! {-)
5; An actual military jeep and men in a military show?

It was really happy day yesterday though a bit cloudy at the lake located around 140km (88miles ) west of Tokyo.
It is simply because I could enjoy to cruise my 1/6 jeep Willys around the lake spending 1.5hrs in a bit cool air.
Running a RC model on the land is , needless to say, happy and healthy spiritually and physically in open air.
Running a RC model is no less happy than building the model for me, since I build it for running not for building. :-)) O0 :D
Well then, let's go cruising together around the lake so close to Mt. Fuji.

Red flower in the pics is the cluster-amaryllis that I do like in this season. The flower has been grown up in our tiny garden
in this autumn. :-))

The unhappy was that we could not see the Mt.Fuji surrounded completely by the thick cloud. <:( <:( <:( :(( :(( :((

It was a very fine day in autumn so that I went to rural region to see and look for the autumn with my 1/6 jeep
about 95km(60 miles) north of Tokyo.
However, outside temperature here was 26 degrees C(79 degrees F)which was quite abnormal and unusual in this season. O0
This was the countryside filled with many trees and forests..!! not in urban region....
On the other hand, plants have shown some sort of the autumn already as I had previously expected they would be...
All day long I have enjoyed contradictory atmosphere between the autumn and the summer this day. {-) %% :-))
we cruised in this park for about 7.3km(4.6miles) in one pack of 5000mAh lipo. that might have been of a good health for me. :-))

Derek,

What a nice man of humor and jokes you are. !!! {-) {-) O0 O0
I have never seen the word "punk?" through my English study since my junior high school days.
Your comment is always interesting to read and this kid's impression you imagined was also understandable to me very much. {-) {-) {-)

The gun barrel of M2 heavy machine gun was broken in this cruising by my mistake in the woods which was punk, wasn't it?
But I repaired it perfectly for next mission.!! {-) {-)

1; Barrel of M2 cal50 MG was broken by half.... <:( <:( <:(
2; Repaired completely using the Gorilla glue this time... :-))

A Happy New Year to all those who watches this forum.!!
It was very very fine day today with no cloud, no wind, no wave and comparatively warm under complete blue sky.! :-)) O0
What on earth shouldn't I go out for doing something in such an exceptionally best conditioned weather though in January...?
RC Boating is the most suitable for this and especially a RC scale ship would be the case in this incredibly blessed conditions....
A cruising by my luxury boat Najade might have been the best to enjoy, and she should have run on the lake leaving  impressive wakes...
BUT in reality, I couldn't help making a LAND-cruising by my 1/6 Willys jeep as seen below due to a certain reason which you
maybe easily imagine from the pics. Yes, she eagerly wanted to walk around our boating lake under the blue sky rather
than staying the definite place for RC boating. <:( <:( {:-{ %%
We spent about 2.5hrs for a happy land cruising under warm weather today. :-)) :-)) :-))
How about your New Year's first RC activity..??   What?!  not yet !?  ......... {-)

Pic No.8 is our boating area. :-)) :-)) :-))

Thank you for your cordial comment of the first time for this year, Derek ! :-))
Yes, even a piece of alga could not be seen at all this day in a patrol mission with this jeep, and I will carry my RC ship here to get her to soak sufficiently as much as she should want on the no-algae lake in the next time. :-)) :-)) :-)) %% %% %%

Currently no algae lake here,!     "Seeing is believing" even on the water.!!   VERY CLEAR as you see.!

Hi RC jeepers and Allen A

How are you getting along with your RC jeeps in these days.!!!!??  Enjoying them indoors ?
I enjoyed cruising my jeep outdoors as usual as to go countryside in warm spring about 20 miles west of my home.
I like very much to get it to run in such a terrain as trail as seen in the pics. :-)) :-)) :-))
This time, the distance I cruised was about 4.7km (less than 3 miles) short course.
Because main purpose I walked was rather to check how suitable the terrain was for RC crawling cars. O0
The impression I got was stunningly awesome for RC trail run in the typical Japanese scenery surrounded by abundant nature. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))
The place will be perhaps my regular terrain for my RC cars.... :-)) :-)) :-))
A 5000mAh lipo of 3S did a very good job for this run recording 11.9V left when finished. O0  Incredible even for me.!!!

I have just replaced a present M2 cal50 heavy machine gun with a new Browning M1917 cal30 water-cooled heavy machine gun due to the break of former gun in the cruising of very rough terrain run on the other day.
Originally, this gun has been a bit large, heavy and long for my Willys jeep and often heavily damaged by some fallen tree branches or twigs, sometimes by my carelessness. {-) <:(
The new gun is light, short and structurally looks stout. !! :-)) :-))
All is for the best of safe and happy trail run in the various terrain. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))

I added a cooling water tank and a hose to connect between the tank and machine gun to get it looked more real one.
This gun is originally a bit old M1917 water-cooled machine gun... {-) that I just happened to find it in my odds and ends. :embarrassed:
I wish I had installed a M1919 cal30 heavy machine gun instead of the M1917...... <:( {:-{
One of the advantageous points for the M1917 is the very stout shape that should be tough in the trail run as the barrel ( water-jacket) is really so thick enough !! {-) :-))

I can readily see the M1917 mounted on a jeep in the very early war when the US was issuing new vehicles to units that might still be fielding older weapons. I think the M1917 adds some romance to the jeep. It sounds daft, but if you had any British style battle bowlers, you could make your crew look like they were from 1941/42.

Thank you for a nice and interesting comments on my jeep equipped with an old M1917 machine gun.
I quite agree to your imagination of combination of a British style helmet and M1917 gun rather than with a US helmet.  :-)) {-)

My jeep used to equip with a M1919 cal30 that I do like ..but currently it was transferred to M5 Stuart tank....
Anyhow M1917 is better and suitable for rough trail run.  All is for the best trail run in the low mountains currently.!! O0 O0 :-))

The cherry blossom has started to open across Japan due to abnormally warm weather for the spring, which temperature
has reached 24 degrees C here in Tokyo that is close to what we call "the summer day"by the weather authority concerned.  O0
I went to a rural district to enjoy the cherry with my jeep yesterday.

1;" Look ! cherry has already started to open."
2/3; "What are the birds singing over us though unable to see.."
4;It's a breeze
5; The trail run
6; Lunch time with some rice balls.!
7; Surrounded by lovely flowers, the jeep couldn't help stopping...
8; Kept on going on and on into the deep forest..
9; These are the typical flowers of spring across the world?...dandelions!! O0 {-)
10; " A cherry blossom is so beautiful to see in Japan which may be called to be the second national flower of Japan..mate?"              "Yes, indeed!! "
Cruising distance for the day was about 6.9km(4.3 miles)
"No good health, no hobby life" O0
Thanks for your time today also.!! ;)
