 Vosper 73ft Air Sea Rescue Launch Scale 1/24   Length 930mm  beam 220mm power 2 x black 400 motors on 6  volt 5000 ah Nimh batteries C.  1942 Based on the hull lines and design of the Fairmile D, acquired for operation in the Western approaches and farther out to sea, even to as far as Iceland and the Northern approaches. better sea keeping than other H S Ls but considered slow by crews used to the whalebacks with a top speed of 24.5 knots powered by 2 x  twin Thorneycroft RY/12/ Meadow engines of 1000 h.p A total of 15 of the 73ft H S Ls were built in 1943. only 1 craft was lost during WW11 as a result of colliding with a friendly aircraft whilst effecting rescue. THE MODEL we hope to have the first kits on show at the Model boat Mayhem at Wickstead park event on the  27-28th May 2023
 The hull of this model is moulded in lightweight glassfibre,  1MM LASER CUT PLASTIC  deck. The bridge and main cabin are vac formed plastic  mouldings.  All deck structure parts are in laser cut 1mm H.I.P.S.  plastic. To complement this most attractive model a full set of fittings in cast metal and resin is included along with propeller shafts, tubes and rudders   To assist in the construction a FULL SIZE PLAN is provided along with a complete set of comprehensive instructions, A c/d of all the pictures taken during assembly of the prototype model plus a set of  water slide and cut vinyl decals to give a colourful finished model.  As in all of the Deans range, the on the water performance is outstanding.
