Tour of HMS London 1943

A very interesting remastered WW2 recruitment film featuring the cruiser London and her equipment. Lots of interesting shots of the latter including catapulting and recovery of the ship's Walrus.

When I have found my glasses and have a moment tomorrow, I will watch this.

I saw another very interesting video of how a Destroyer was steamed up from cold that included the crew using an access ladder built between the outer funnel casing and the flue, to get up top and remove the tarpaulin cover from over the frame keeping it from falling in the funnel!

I saw that one as well, also interesting how the funnel stays were slackened before the boiler was lit.
