These photos are the build upto date as from last night 30th July the number of times I re-done the marking to the lines water line upwards  so a few more coats of primmer was put on but in the end both sides have been done gun ports all drilled out on the yellow just over 100 guns.  :-))   The best thing about the build its my very first ships  all wood and I am loving it  and its my baby hope you are all still liking the photos take care. :-))

Still enjoying your build.  100 gunports needs a lot of patience to mark out and drill - well done.

Very nice. As Ralph says, cutting all those gunports requires lots of patience and a very sharp knife...

Just a little update  I have had to re-do the painting on the hull as paint went under the tape  going to change to Tamiya tape which I have found to be the best,on this build I'm learning everyday and putting things right  just loving it will get there in the end.

I must say a big thank you to Ralph and Footski for there kind comments it puts a smile on my face take care everyone will be posting very soon. :-)) :-)) :-))

If you are struggling with bleed under the tape,  put a coat of matt varnish over it to seal it before applying the paint...

The other option to prevent bleed through is, once you've masked everything, paint a thin coat of the colour you're protecting along the edge of the masking tape.  If this bleeds through it won't matter as its the same colour as the paint under the masking tape, but what it will do is seal the edge of the tape so your next colour won't bleed through.

Wallace dont bother with Tamyia tape simply pop down to Halfords as they sell an excellent fine line tape around 5mm wide coloured blue ive been using it now for years it is not a paper type tape but in fact it is likke insulating tape never had a bleed thru with it as opposed to TaTape which in fact i have

Thanks alot for all you great comments about using masking tape will have ago at them all I'm just waiting on my tape to arrive from amazon, put it this way I have enough masking tape to last a life-time, I,m just waiting for more wood to arrive from Cornwall model boats  for more planking as the size I need is not in the box I think I got the the worst box of parts with this kit from Billing not enough wood and some sizes missing, as it was a xmas present from my girls I have not kick off but I can say I will never use them again my next build I hope will be from OcCre  which I have been told have the best kits going, once again many thanks for all your help. :-)) :-))

Onto build some parts for the bow. :-))  Looking at the window frame on the stern near the top I may re-do the half moons on one side found it very hard to bend but since I have done them I have found a way ti do them.
Thats all the build up to date Sunday 15 Sept  sorry about the long wait for photos. :-)) :-)) :-))

Latest jobs on the Victory and the building up of the bow, its taken me ages to work out where some parts go as the booklet for the build dont say anything about the build only photos of the parts so my little head has been working so hard but it gets their, had alot of sanding and shaping and making, but I'm loving it and I hope you like the photo's.
I'm into month 9 of the build and still along way to go. :-)) :-))
