Morning All,


I have a very old JJC electronics master and slave module and an unreadable image of a connection diagram which I found on here (resolution too low to make any sense of).


I understand that the unit is still working but I'm keen to avoid damaging it. If any one can share a readable copy of the connection diagram to the green terminal block I'd be grateful.

Hi Martin,


I have a JJC 304 Master and a 310 slave. The 304 sound on the master is I think a gas turbine. It's the 310 sound on the slave I'm interested in which I believe is the turbocat. Guessing I can just connect this via a 3.5mm lead, or potentially remove the heatshrink and swap the 310 chip across to the master. It's the connections on the green terminal block I'm not sure of. 2 of these are obviously for the speaker and I assume the other 2 for the power input. I plan to run the speaker via an old Maplin 12w amp.

I hope you can get the info you need. It is a long time since these units disappeared of the scene and the late production models were not very good. Please note I am not saying your units will not function just making you aware there is no back service for these units should they fail. Good luck with your search.

I know it's a long shot and that they're a little flakey from a cooling point of view so will tread carefully and add a fan assuming I can get them working. They were ahead of their time in terms of sound quality, and with the Action Electronics Noisy Thing no longer available it's a shame really. It's for a Dutch Courage that has been in build for over 12 years (!).


Anyway, fingers crossed and I'll report back.

I have a JJC installation and Setup sheet.

N.B. You can run the master unit on 6 to 18 volts which gives an output of up to 15 Watts through an 8 ohm speaker.
Cheap 4 ohm speakers are not recommended.
The chip under the heatsink is a 15 Watt audio amplifier.
I ran one, with an attached slave unit on a 12 Volt NiMH and later on a 4S Lipo (16.8 Volt).
I had to eventually add a 5 Volt minifan blowing across the heat sink due to the chip overheating and cutting out.

Many thanks for the info. I'm pleased to report that it's all up and running perfectly with the turbocat slave model. No external amplifier fitted but a small PC fan blowing cool air on the amp chip heat sink. A tip to anyone using an 8W 4Ohm speaker - attaching a cut down closed ended pringles tube gives a far deeper sound.
