I think you would need an Oerlikon 20mm cannon for an RAF Whaleback ASRL- they weren’t strong enough to mount a Bofors. You can get one from Battlecrafts

Sorry about picture.... This was the only 1/32 scale Bofors gun listed the MKVII.....

No problem but biggest gun on the whaleback was the oerlikon

There was a gun boat version built of the whaleback, not operated by the RAF  but the Navy. Deans used to make an anti submarine version, this carried a Rolls Royce 20mm cannon (normally used on aircraft). I can remember seeing a drawing of another version in Model Boats which I think carried a 40mm Bofors on the rear deck, the superstructure was shortened to allow this.

The Rolls-Royce gun used on Fairmile Cs and the like was a 40mm weapon. The aircraft version was automatic, but the naval gun was simplified to be a single-shot weapon.
