Boat valuations
« on: June 05, 2021, 05:52:54 am »

Morning all, someone asked if I could help giving a valuation of some boats and RC cars.
The most interesting one was this steam powered Graupner - Otto Lauffer.

.... anyone recognise the engine plant?

The engine looks like an early Chinese twin oscillator available from a well known online auction house for about £160. I have the same engine in a small River Tug and it runs very smoothly and well. I can’t tell which boiler though, hope this helps move the discussion on.

Hi Martin

It's a Huntsman.

Sell them on E Bay with Global International postage, so us down south can buy to boats.

Hi Martin
I have a mate who is after one with an IC motor.
Very nice setup only a few bits missing on the outside.

Hi Martin
E Bay's Global International Postage is cheaper than postage from Sydney to Hobart.
Also about the same time !!!
I received one from England in the same time as one from Sydney !!!
Three weeks with all that is going on !!

Hi Martin

Global International Postage is about 45/50 pounds which is a good price for a boat from England.

So you would miss out on a holiday !!!

If you are sent out from England to Tasmania, it's a one way trip !!!

I have been hear 200 Years and it was only a loaf of bread !!!

I would be interested in Robbie Jet Ski and the VW.
