Titan, submersible, Titanic
« on: November 24, 2023, 08:19:56 pm »

This popped up on Facebook today.

I had to think about this for a while, was this in good taste .... but people make models of the Titanic all the time,
.... and about 1,517 died when that sank.... 😐

I met a woman at a stall at the IPMS show at Telford who was unhappy that her husband (owner of the shop) had ordered the kit of the Titan to sell. Thought it was funny, given that we were in a room full of model tanks and other weapons of war…

I hope she was equally upset at the builder of the actual thing, for his arrogance and gross negligence that got people killed..

Also hoping I don't get any 'bad reactions' when I take my model whalecatcher out this spring, but most members of the public can't recognize any particular boat (except anything with multiple funnels and lifeboats is the Titanic  %) )

I'm interested in tiny versions of regular size things.
