Capacitors on Raboesch Bow Thruster
« on: December 21, 2023, 02:01:10 pm »

Hello,

Can I solder capacitors to the two small wires (2 and 8 o’clock in the picture), rather than the canister? The wires are connected electrically to the canister, not sure where they come from.

Many thanks,

Andrew

Those are likely to be ceramic disc capacitors from each brush to case, mounted inside.
What you really need is one ceramic disc capacitor across the brush terminals.

That makes sense. There is no mention of it in the instructions. Makes it easy, I always make a mess soldering onto the canister.

Many thanks,
