Graupner 500e motors
« on: February 19, 2024, 02:54:38 pm »

Hi chaps. I am looking for motors that are a direct replacement for the graupner 500e motor. The replacement motor must also have the screw fitting locations as the graupner. Thanks michael

Good find, but they are in America. Import duties etc will make these expense.

Hi there Terry

just looking at the specs for the 500E motor - it runs on 12volt - but its voltage range is: between 6 volt and 12 volt.

Its normal rpm at 12 volt is 12,000 rpm

Its no load amperage is about 0.4

Its stalled current is approx 10 amp

So, that is what is required for a direct replacement - and hows about an MFA Como Drills motor  -  an RE-540/1 3 pole - at 12 volt it will give you about 15,500 rpm - its no load amperage is about 0.5 amp.   Under load the rpm is 13,360 rpm

Its current draw is about 3 amps.

The location holes for mounting the motor in the can should be exactly the same.

At the moment that is the nearest I can find for a direct replacement.
