I’ve got one of these receivers and want to plug the switch harness, rudder and sail winch of my DF95 yacht into it but which way up do the plugs go? The servo plugs are wired brown, red and orange. I think the the rx is set up for Futaba plugs with the white signal wire at the top and black (negative) at the bottom but I have no idea how the Joseway servo plugs are wired!!
Any ideas please??

If you look at the image in this link, you will see a label indicating that the bottom link is negative, the middle one positive and the top one is the signal.

On the servo, the red centre wire is positive, the brown negative and the orange wire is the signal. However, if you plug it in the wrong way it shouldn'd do any harm - just won't work!

Thanks Colin - much appreciated! Actually i recently blew up someone’s arm sail winch by not noticing that the polarity had been reversed (Futaba to Fleet) so I’m just a bit cautious!!

Fleet used to do things differently! These days the centre link is pretty much almost always red for positive so no harm if the plug is initially connected the wrong way.

Ah, thank you Colin. I suppose Fleet wanted to be quirky and different but it cost me £65 for my ignorance! Now I’m a bit more cautious!!

May not have been Fleet servos, Sanwa used to use reversed polarity conections in their plugs before finally using the same plug connections as others. Although the old Sanwa plugs were too thick to fit in modern receiver sockets.
