Good news!

Last year the stickers were incredibly popular, these will once again be available for sale in the tea tent, all proceeds going to Martin to go towards running the site

They’ll be £2 each and are 90mm across

Just a quick reminder of this as it was in the other thread.

Due to the continued massive growth of the show, we've decided this year that we shall be reserving some spaces around the lake for various clubs, please see the map below. Also new for this year, we'll be erecting a marquee over the permanant benches, which we'll be keeping clear for those who do not have a gazebo or need space to set up if not staying for the full duration. There is plenty of room for everyone, and not reserving a space won't mean that you won't have somewhere to pitch up, but if you feel you'd like to reserve a spot for yourself or your club please contact me through PM or email.

Adding to Andys note, Nick has just informed us that some areas around the lake might have to be cordoned of, unless you want to re-enact the Somme. Personally,  I'm up for that!

I forgot how wet Mayhem 1 was!
You’ll be pleased to know that it isn’t as bad as that just advisory that one area isn’t ideal for pitching at the moment-
The area on the map recently posted you can see a blue gazebo next to a tree between numbers 3 and 2. We are putting down pea gravel to make it traversable, fingers crossed that the predicted dryer warmer weather will dry it up further but we thought it would be made advisable not to pitch in that area for the moment. Plenty of pitches around the lake and the amphitheater are still okay to use.

It's in my garage Phil but it is recommended for paint although it might work on dentures - always worth a try.

Regrettably, while I'd love to attend Mayhem the loss of one eye makes the journey problematical. The other one works OK but having to do the work of two means that longer drives cause eyestrain which restricts distances and comfort. Plus my knees no longer function the way they are supposed to...

It was a little soggy at the first Mayhem in 2007

I remember it well, it rained all weekend a bit like other years.

Will there be any springers this year? I cannot confirm or deny that there might be one with a Pepsi can superstructure coming with me.  :embarrassed: :embarrassed: :embarrassed: :embarrassed: :embarrassed:

I see that there are going to be 'yacht races'. Will these be for specific classes only or do model yachts have a handicap system like full size boats for a 'menagerie' fleet?
If so can anyone sign up on the day?

I’m in charge of lake activities and to me a yacht is something that the owner forgot to fit an engine in, so it’ll be a free for all. The lake poses enough challenges without me trying to figure out the differences between sailing boats  ;)

We’ll work out a course and rules on the day
