This time, I applied the diamond plates on the rear fenders and the whole car became like those in the pics.

Exactly yes,! I do think so, Derek..!! {-) O0
You  do have a good vision....amazing !  But, don't take it so seriously and that is a kind of fashion or decoration for the car. {-) {-) {-)
Even my wife also indicated that you had had better not to set the diamond plates, and it did not look well for
the long working time......... :(( <:( The hobby work is such and such, isn't it ?? %%
Upon receiving the diamond plate sheet from a dealer, I was so much disappointed with the poor quality , to tell the truth.
I regret that I should have spent more money .... :embarrassed: <:(

Thank you for your funny comment. :D

Hi RC jeepers,
I have come back here after a while from my Hokkaido cruising tour by 1/1 car and 1/32 RCed Pt-109 boat both of which have been done quite well. :-)) :-))

Today I am referring to this jeep updating in two points.
One is an addition of simulated engine sound which is well-synchronized with the motor rev., though not shown here.
The other is an addition of 4 pieces of dust-free covers for shock absorbers which may be useful in trail run from my actual
experience so that I do recommend the RC crawler enthusiasts to adopt with. :-))

1,2/3/4; This engine sound speaker is comparatively small that it could be installed here with no modification at all.
5/6/7/8; These dust covers may be convenient and time saving when cleaning the shock absorbers after the run. :-))

Try them if you think it necessary to add in your cars. :-)) O0

Hi RC jeepers,
Here are the pics of my latest jeep equipped with a very realistic sound simulator with a large speaker. :-))
The sound synchronizes with running mode comparatively good.
I'll try it in the very near future in the field to confirm how good the sound is in the open air. O0

I went to a certain famous plateau of summer resort some 170 miles north of Tokyo together with my jeep.
It was really enjoyable and interesting to spend the time there in the summer resort different from the routine in the urban life. :-))
The jeep ran so well with the engine sound realistically in a calm air of the plateau under cloudy days due to an approaching tyhoon. :D O0
Are you also enjoying another life from time to time unlike usual model boating hobby life.?! {-) %%    :o
Or have you been mostly occupied by the boating, suffering from a fierce scold of your wife, like me...??? <:( :-X {-)

Hi all,
Outing in the suburbs of Tokyo in early autumn..
It has quickly been changing to the autumn here in Tokyo in terms of air temperature of 27 degrees C from 34 degrees C
nowadays.! At the same time, I soon feel like going out somewhere with RC models like RC boats...
However, it was windy and cloudy in Tokyo so that I decided to go with my 1/8 Jeep wrangler rubicon, namely mighty king of land
for me.!! :-)) %%
Yes, indeed, it is the autumn already and actually here and there in our local boating site with some flowers trees and air...
It was not completey hot any more though I walked over 4km(2.5 miles)..  .Very truly autumn.
Next time I should come here,I may carry my fast boat since I have found the water clean suitable for my luxury cruiser boat.  :-)) :-))
I wonder how you there are enjoying outdoor activity with RC models in these days..?? O0 :embarrassed: :-))

Well, it's a very fine day yesterday as well as air temperature with no clouds in the sky and we were in the midst of three-consecutive holidays in Japan.....What shall I do in such a wonderful day...?  Needless to say, RC boating !!! ???
Of course, not it !!!  Going out to the countryside with my mighty RC Jeep wrangler rubicon 1/8 looking for Japan's autumn. %%
It is really autumn across Japan and good season to go out for walking as well as to build a model ship and its sailing. O0 :-))
This time,40 km(25miles) west of my hometown in Tokyo where is still "Tokyo" administratively, but too rural with lots of low mountains and countryside scene. :-))
It was about 5.6km trail walk.(3.5miles) A good walking for keeping my health for model boating. :-)) :-)) :-))
I wonder Allen is enjoying his Willys jeep outdoors...??? :embarrassed: :D ok2

Are you enjoying your own autumn around you or far away from you in your style, all.? :embarrassed: :D

Beautiful countryside Kiyo.... O0 ...what is the whitish material being air dried on some sort of elevated lattice frame-work in the photograph 8.jpg? of your Jeep in the wilderness.......

Just a little off-topic, we have seen reports in-line, that Stellantis [manufacturer of Jeep, Dodge & RAM....have filed for Chapter 8 in the USA for bankruptcy!  <*<

One of my Daughters had a new 2022 luxury Jeep ......beautifully appointed leather interior.........visually splendid......only problem, it kept failing to start.....the Jeep people could not find or duplicate any electrical fault, however it failed again ......2 days after leaving the service center

So after 3 more failures in as many months of the same nature [electrical fault >>:-( ??] [and still in new car warranty] they decided to sell it onwards ...pitty the poor chump that purchased it.......

Derek,

Thank you for your comment.
The whitish looked materials are many bunches of rice plants covered with transparent vinyl film for drying.
This kind of scene in the countryside is typical ones in the good and old Japanese traditions.
Japan has long been an agricultural country originally since circa AD 2nd century.

By the way, I am so sorry to know that even luxury Jeep that your daughter purchased did have many faults.... :((
The jeep was beautifully appointed and visually splendid, but but but exhibited many troubles....
From this information, I feel the same tendency could be said sometimes in some Rc models, ie, a beautifully and splendidly made Rc models does not always show a wonderful performance like its appearance in running...??? {-)

From my long experience of building and flying many RC planes, I feel it often is more important to build "RC" models as precise as possible to get it run as it should be than to build beautifully.   A Rc model has to "work properly".
It is ideal if both stands parallel, needless to say. O0 :embarrassed: :-))

Apart from building a RC model boat under way, I went to our local Rc boating lake for my recreation together with this 1/8 Jeep
Wrangler Rubicon for its recreation to run in the field.!! {-) {-) {-)
It's about two hours of run/walk under the very very fine and  warm day for winter here in Tokyo. 14 degrees C.!! :-))

And the water of the lake was also ideal to get RC boats to run...but I did not carry any RC boats with me today.
Since it was a RC Jeep running day.!! :D O0 :-)) {-)

Yes, my motto of RC hobby is "Build a RC model indoors and Operate it sufficiently and regularly outdoors". :-)) :-)) O0 :embarrassed:

Hi SteamboatPhil,
Soo glad to have your favorable comment on what I posted.!! :-))

As you may possibly have experienced so far??,...it is one thing to mention as in my motto, and another to actually practice it in life, sometimes or frequently in my case... {-) :embarrassed: ;)
In other words, it's so easy to say one thing, but often difficult to practice actually not only in hobby world but also in individual whole life itself, isn't it..?!  O0 :D

Well then, let's practice actually in hobby life at least in the beginning.!! %%

The pics are my latest outdoor RC activities on land and on the water. :-)) :D %%
I do need this kind of outdoor time for operation of the RC models completed after spending a huge amount of time. O0 O0   And the operation itself is the very goal of my RC modeling/building works.! O0 :-))
