LF Models 1/72 Westland Wasp HAS.1
« on: April 22, 2024, 04:14:36 pm »

The long awaited 1/72nd Westland Wasp from LS Models has arrived. Should make a great addition for the 1/72 scale cold war era warships.

Back 'in the day' I converted several Airfix Westland Scout kits in to Wasps.
They were quite good but a mess about, especially making the undercarriage.

Considering the whole aeroplane will sit in the palm of your hand, that's an outrageous price to my mind.

I converted a Wasp from an Airfix Scout kit maybe 40 yrs ago, and it cost around £6.00, for the white metal conversion kit back then!

I made a start on the conversion a couple of weeks ago, unfortunately the corner snapped off canopy,I was going to just buy another Airfix kit until I discovered this kit it is actually cheaper and much better quality.
