You could always go down in size and try 1/144 scale- I believe there is a range of FAA post war aircraft in this scale that are reasonably priced. I know they definitely do Sea Venoms, Buccs and some Helicopters.

Tamiya did do a Buccaneer S2 in 1/100 some time back, but they are still knocking about on eBay.

Thinking out of the box.
If you model will be a stand off model (people view it from several meters away), then maybe 3D printing is a viable option. You would need to get a model (any scale) for them to scan. A CAD file is created and these can then be set to any scale you want.
I just looked online, there are several companies that do 3D scanning, and some also do 3D printing as well. If you get a company that does both, they are more likely to be creative in how they make and use the CAD files. As you will want several of the final product finished, you will probably get a discount.
If the models on Ebay are 30 quid a pop, it might be worth pricing up.

A 3D printer may be cheaper Rob. How big do you want your Airforce? Print you own?

It looks like this website might have 3D model files for printing for Sea Vixen. A broader search may also throw up other sites.

Scratch build your own from bass wood, finish them to provide a smooth surface and then mould and resin cast them. More time consuming and it will be a challenge to carve and finish suitably, but the end result will allow you to furnish your carrier with as many aircraft as you want. You could sell a few to subsidise the project costs??? Drawings of most if not all aircraft are available online, and can either be printed out as is and then applying a formula to dimensions taken from them, or printed out, scaled and then photocopied to the right scale.

It isn't that difficult, and once you have done one, the rest are variations upon a theme. Just have some good sharp tools inc a snap off knife and blades for carving larger shapes.

Definitely the best way :-)) Cast the fuselage with the tail fin and then add the wings and fiddly bits from plasticard etc and with a deft bit of sanding/filling you'll have an air wing before you know it O0 From what you listed, you could limit the carving to 4 basic shapes and then a silicone/polyurethane kit for about £50.
