Hi  We are also preparing for our annual open days on   Fridays 6th September and Saturday the 7th September  ( Sunday will now be our clear up day.  We are looking for some help manning the workshop with building demos and questions as Alan Miller can not make it this year after his heart attack, any help split over the 2 days appreciated, free coffee and bacon butties supplied.Camping and caravans available but pro book please as space limited this year
 Any pre orders get them in soon. Other traders booked up to date, Marks models,  Mikes Flags, Hovercraft man, models for sale, Karins models.

Hi All A great weekend for us all, the weather was very kind to us this year bright sunshine and gentle winds, but the rest of the country suffered from storms so attendance was down from past years but all things considered a good turnout and a lot of fun.  Some very interesting models on show and a selection of trade stands.   The party on the Saturday night was a riot of colour and some outlandish costumes. some of the models attached but to see rest of models and the party,  link here https://photos.app.goo.gl/YcpPNPehgXkSQEdRA

I had an VERY productive day at Ron's on the Saturday. 


I'd lusted after the Blue Leopard yacht kit ever since Ron announced it way back when, but I was never anywhere near able to afford one, and when I could afford one he'd had to stop making it for various reasons.


Seeing the announcement of the Open Days a short while ago, with no less than TWO Blue Leopards available for sale, I just had to be there of course! I arrived very early, in an attempt to be first in the queue for a Leopard of course, I was astonished to learn that one of them for sale was the actual prototype! I had lengthy chats with Ron about the boat, even though he was up to his neck in getting the Open Day running, and decided to go for it.


So now I've got one! 


The boat needs some fettling, it's been in existence longer than any other Leopard of course, bit it's within my capabilities (I hope....) and I'm going to enjoy doing it.


One slight problem was that the boat and it's monster storage box were too large to fit even in my fairly large car, and I had to come back and off load my lady's electric wheel chair before making another trip to Peterborough to collect the boat, but did I care? Not a jot! 


When it's ready for sailing again it'll have to go on the roof rack I think...................
