Assigning channels
« on: October 05, 2024, 05:49:26 pm »

I have an Absima SR4S transmitter, 4 channel,  linked to the respective receiver on a Lindberg PT boat, thing is I have wired in lights to the boat and want to be able to switch them on and off.
On the face of it with 4 channels I have two spare .... Ch 1 and 2 drive the motors and the steering servo, Ch3 and 4 are spare and I have the lights wired to Ch 3 but nothing happens when I flick the Ch 3 switch on the TX .. is there something I have missed please in simply expecting to be able to switch the lighting on and off that way, or do I have to assign the switch to do that ... and if so how ...??

            Allen,

Are you using a relay switcher plugged into your RX.

          Allen,
Basically the switcher which is plugged into to your RX has electronics which switches a relay on & off
using your TX.  The lights are wired into the relay.
You can get them from Component Shop, who are very helpful.
