Very sorry to hear this. Dave was a leading member of the  Brentwood Model Boat Club in Essex for many years.

He was very well known and liked among the scale model boating community and a contributor to Model Boats Magazine.

In 2011 he contributed to my Model Boats Special issue on the subject of adhesives.

I did hear some while back that he was unwell.

Another sad loss to our community.

And very sadly, those members who are and were brilliant modellers just have no younger ones interested in carrying on the linear succession and keep the skills alive.
Will the art of model boat building be lost in decades to come.. I hope not.

Had many a good chat with Dave and his wife, when they come to the sailing day at the Dolphins MBC. it was Dave that got me to buy the HFM ORSV when he let me try his one.
As Colin said Dave was a great Ambassador to to the model boating community and will Sorely be missed.

That's all right, Mr Ryan. My Morse is so rusty, I could be sending him dimensions on Playmate of the Month.

My thoughts go out to Marion and family
