Newbie from New Zealand
« on: March 09, 2025, 08:59:32 am »

Hi,
I have been reading posts here for a while as I get my head around my project of building the Yarra tugboat from scratch using plans by Vic Speed from the 'Model Boats' magazine RC special of August 1982. All I have is the plans, no instructions so am figuring stuff out as I go.

This is my 'unwinding' project when I have spare time after work and family have taken their cut, so moves slowly, especially as I'm mostly doing everything by hand - the 'long slow stupid way' generally!! So far I'm still cutting out, filling and sanding the keel and bulkheads. This is probably the easy bit I'm guessing, so expect planting of newbie questions as I progress with construction.

Cheers,
Mike
