Spektrum DX6 problem
« on: March 13, 2025, 07:59:31 am »

Greetings Everyone,
I am having an issue with my Spektrum DX6 transmitter, I launched a new tug yesterday (she had been bench tested last week and was fine) and when she was in the water the rudder was operating the wrong way round i.e. stick left boat goes right. We tried to reverse the setting but no joy because when I went to the reverse settings on the DX6 the transmitter jumped past Ailerons straight to Elevators on the transmitter. I scrolled back and forth to see if that made any difference but no joy. I took the boat home, changed the transmitter batteries and tried again still no joy. I then went through all of the models listed in the DX6 and tried the same procedure with each individual model again the transmitter jumped past Ailerons. This has never happened before so my addled brain is being scratched, I am going to rebind the transmitter and receiver today and see what happens.
The set up is as follows- DX6 TX, Genuine Spektrum RX, 12 volt SLA battery running through a Component shop P92 power board, single screw MMM T12 motor. The tug performs perfectly apart from the steering issue. Does anyone have a phone number for John Norris at Logic?
            Thanks in anticipation guys.
                 Regards,
                      Pete. SMBC

Googled this .....

To perform a factory reset on a Spektrum DX6 transmitter, power on the transmitter while holding the sticks down and outward. The transmitter will then emit a series of beeps and revert to factory settings.
Here's a more detailed explanation:

Accessing the Reset: Simply power on the transmitter while holding the steering stick (left stick) fully down and the throttle stick (right stick) fully outward.

Confirmation: The transmitter will beep and then revert to factory settings.
Important Note: This process resets the transmitter to its default settings, not just a specific model.

The data reset function allows you to reset all the programming in the current model selected (1–10) to the
factory default settings.

Hi Martin,
Thanks for your reply, the TX is a DX6 with a model memory of 240 models (if I remember correctly) I also have a DX6I which has a 10 model memory and I think this is the TX you are referring to with the manual. Update, I tried the rebinding and the RX would not bind so I swapped the RX to another Spektrum RX which bound straight away. However all systems go but no movement whatsoever in any of the sticks so time to walk away and re think, try again tomorrow as I feel it's something simple that I am missing. I'll keep you posted.
      Cheers,
