Greetings everyone,
      Southport MBC are holding our 2nd Open/Bring and Buy day on Sunday the 18th of May from 9am to 1pm, the gates will be open from around 8am for our visitors access. as usual Paul will be providing his famous Angus Burgers along with bacon butties, hot and cold drinks will be available so please feel free to come along for a browse and have a sail and something to eat and drink, you may find that missing item you've been searching for or even better a nice boat. Steve from Scale Hobbies will be attending with his stand of model boat goodies.
      These events are always very well attended and enjoyed by everyone who comes to visit so please come along and enjoy our hospitality and facilities.

Greetings everyone,
       It's all systems go for next Sunday our 2nd Open/Bring and buy day of the season and the weather forecast is looking good all week (25c tomorrow then around 20 plus through the week). Today at the pond it was sunny and hot with very little wind so hopefully we will have the same next weekend. Everything is organised and going to plan catering etc so please feel free to come along and visit our day. The usual catering will be available and you never know you might just find the project you have been looking for at a good price. Hopefully see you all there on the day which is from 9am/1pm with the gates open at around 8am ish, Visitors selling £5 per table, Members free.

Greetings Everyone,
       Our Open/Bring and buy day yesterday was very well attended with the car park and part of Rotten Row full, people were asking for bacon butties before Paul (our Masterchef) had arrived to set up his kitchen. There were lots of bits and bobs and some very nice boats up for grabs with the trading going really well. Again Paul was non stop on the hotplate, ably assisted by Joe, Andy, Geoff and myself on water boiling and boiler top up duty, we ran out of bacon at 10.15am meaning Geoff having to shop for more supplies which along with Paul's wife's fabulous cakes very soon disappeared. The weather Gods were kind to us again with brilliant sunshine and a nice breeze all in all a very enjoyable day was had by everyone. Considering that the was a major cycling event taking place on Sunday which meant that the Coast road was closed from Pontins Roundabout up to the very end of Marine Lake our attendance was excellent, the positive feedback we are getting makes all the hard work worth. Well done to everybody who worked to make the day happen and sincere thanks to all who attended.
          I will post details of our June Open/Bring and buy day two weeks before the event, the problems with our website are still ongoing and hopefully will be resolved soon. I will keep the forum updated with news on the new website. Thanks for looking.
