The daughter of one of our club members has obviously been watching her dad closely, and sent him this, which he subsequently shared with the membership -
“Captain of the Pond”
He’s not on the ocean, no sails in the breeze,
But give him a lake and a good summer tease.
With remote in his hand and a grin on his face,
He pilots his boats at a champion’s pace.
They zip and they zoom with a hum and a glide,
While he stands proud by the water’s side.
No waves or storms, just peaceful control—
A captain at heart, with a radio control.
