Savirile Kit Has Arrived (There has to be a catch) follow up.

Well, there wasn't a catch! The kit arrived today, and I'm extremely satisfied. I thought the price was a bit high, until I opened the box. Considering all that you get, it was well worth the asking price. There are literally hundreds of fitting details. Winches, bollards, railings, watertight doors, absolutely everything is included!
The detailing, and quality of the moldings are excellent. A bit fragile though, as to be expected, as they are VERY small. I'm going to purchase some of those magnifying spectacles that you wear, as my old eyes aren't what they used to be. There was some contention as to the worthiness of the company I bought the kit from. I'm here to tell you they were absolutely wonderful to deal with, and I'll do so again when this kit is complete.
My plans are to document the build here on Mayhem. It's going to take awhile, though. There are just so many little parts to put on! The good thing though, is that the time consuming parts of the build are already complete. The Kort nozzles, and stuffing boxes are already installed. The motor mounts, servo mounts, also installed, with threaded (metal) receptacles in place. There are even tubes installed to inject grease into the rudder posts! More later, it's hours past my bedtime.

Pics will be posted as time permits. Watch for the build documentation, coming soon.
And once again, RCSCALEMODELS has just become my favorite dealer. They even e-mailed me tonight just to ask if the kit had arrived, and did it survive the shipping! O0

Hi Captain Jack,

Out of interest, did you have to pay vat etc to customs,
when you purchased the kit ?.

I think that, as has been said on here before, Customs & Excise are very familiar with that little dodge.
